I just purchased the GQ-4X and can't get the burner to work in Windows 7 64Bit. I followed the instructions, and FINALLY I got the drivers to install. The software locks up when starting, you can see "please wait..." but the program stops responding. Has this been tested with Windows 7 64 bit? (I just downloaded to software from the website.)

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Aaron

The software works with Windows 7 64Bit.

Try:

1. Remove any chip on the ZIF socket.
2. Disconnect the programmer and reconnect again, then start the software.
3. Try differant USB port, USB cable.
4. Try on another computer.

If the problem persist, contact support@mcumall.com

I tried different USB ports, and still the software locks up when connected. As soon as the USB is disconnected, the software will say "Hardware out of synched! Please re-connect the programmer." As soon as I plug the programmer back in, it will not respond again. There is no device plugged in either.

I did try the programmer on a Windows XP machine, and the software works fine. Any suggestions for the Windows 7 64 bit issues? Thanks.

if the programmer works on XP, then it should work on Windows 7 64 bit.

It seems there is a hardware problem on the USB communication.

Try to connect the programmer via a USB hub with a power adapter to programmer. If this works, then there is USB port compatibility problem.
